Dane Winn - London-based Animator and Director.
With a passion for film and storytelling since I was a kid, I focused on the art of character animation. In 2008 I went on to study animation at the University of West England in Bristol, where I produced several short films, two of which competed in the British Animation Awards and another which won the 48hr Crazy Horse competition at the Stuttgart International Animation Festival. I graduated in 2011 and started work as an Animator at Blue-Zoo, the BAFTA award winning animation studio in central London. I worked on multiple childrens series, including Tree Fu Tom and Q Pootle 5, soon becoming a Lead Animator for the series, Miffy's Adventures Big and Small. In 2015, I became an Animation Director in the creative services department at Blue-Zoo, where I work on commercials, promos, corporate videos and idents in a broad range of styles. I continue to make short films and explore creatively in my spare time, as well as dipping into the world of independent game development, where I have formed a collective called Milo Games. |
